Seminar “Japan's 2026 Immigration Law Reform – What Vietnamese People Need to Know”
Seminar report (held on July 12, 2026): VA-WORK Vol.10 – Seminar “Japan’s 2026 Immigration Law Reform – What Vietnamese People Need to Know”
On July 12, 2026, the NPO Vietnamese Association in Japan (VAJ), in coordination with the VA-WORK Project, organized an online seminar on the theme “Japan’s 2026 Immigration Law Reform – What Vietnamese People Need to Know”.
The program received great interest and a positive response from the Vietnamese community living, studying, and working in Japan.
At the seminar, Mr. 及川 太助 (Oikawa Taisuke) – 特定社会保険労務士 (Certified Social Insurance and Labor Consultant) shared and explained many topics related to changes in residence policies and procedures in Japan, including issues around renewing and changing status of residence, procedural costs, taxes and social insurance, the Business Manager visa (Kinh doanh・Quản lý), as well as changes that foreigners in Japan should be aware of in the time ahead.
The live Q&A with the expert also received many practical questions from attendees, showing that the need to find accurate information about regulations relating to residence and life in Japan is currently very great in the Vietnamese community.
Through this activity, the NPO Vietnamese Association in Japan (VAJ) hopes to continue providing practical, reliable information, helping Vietnamese people in Japan proactively update their knowledge, correctly understand the regulations, and protect their own rights in the course of living and working in Japan.
Our sincere thanks to speaker Oikawa Taisuke, the VA-WORK Project, and everyone who took an interest, participated, and helped create a meaningful seminar.
