The 41st "Gathering with Refugees Settled in Japan"

On November 15, the NPO Vietnamese Association in Japan took part in the “Gathering with Refugees Settled in Japan” (日本定住難民とのつどい), organized by the Foundation for the Welfare and Education of the Asian People (アジア福祉教育財団).

The event aims to create the best possible conditions for foreign nationals living and working in Japan. During the discussions, we joined representatives from Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar to talk through the challenges faced by foreign residents in Japan. Through this gathering, the Association was able to share the views and hopes of the Vietnamese community with relevant government bodies and civil society organizations working with foreign residents.

At this event, Kien Quoc — a longtime member of our community — was honored with a recognition award alongside four individuals from other countries. This is a real source of motivation for the Association as we continue our work to build a strong Vietnamese community that grows together within Japanese society.
