Notice on Mask Distribution for Pandemic Prevention
Dear compatriots, as of the time of this announcement, the Vietnamese Association in Japan (VAJ) is closing the first round of registrations for emergency humanitarian aid under the “Community Relief — Wuhan Virus Response” program launched a week ago.
In just a short time, more than 100 people signed up — a clear signal of how heavily this pandemic is hitting many of our compatriots. Starting last night, the Welfare Department’s distribution team set out to deliver aid packages directly to the homes of those who completed the registration form.
Although many areas are under social-distancing alerts as virus hot spots, our distribution volunteers are pushing through, driven by the desire to share the hardship and meet our compatriots face-to-face. For addresses too far from the distribution network, we will send packages by post.
The package is modest, but we hope the warmth behind it will offer some encouragement as we get through these difficult times together.
At the same time, exchanges on social media have made clear that the demand for masks within the community is at a critical level. The VAJ Welfare Department has therefore moved quickly to add an emergency supplementary package: 2 reusable cloth masks, which we will mail out to every compatriot who needs them. As the supply is limited, please send the form below with your full address so we can ship right away.

For those who already registered and received the first round of aid, we will mail an additional 2 masks to your registered address. For those who registered with the first-round form but have not yet received their package, we will add 2 masks to the package on its way.
Sincerely,
Vietnamese Association in Japan
President Nguyen Phuong Khanh
