Announcement and Invitation to the 2022 Hung Kings Memorial Ceremony

ANNOUNCEMENT AND INVITATION

2022 HUNG KINGS MEMORIAL CEREMONY

“Wherever you may roam, north or south,

Remember the Hung Kings’ Memorial Day on the tenth of the third lunar month.”

Dear fellow Vietnamese,

Our people have always cherished the spirit of “drinking water and remembering its source.” Each year, at the beginning of the third lunar month, Vietnamese all over the world come together to solemnly hold the Hung Kings Memorial Ceremony — an occasion to turn our hearts toward our roots and to honor the founding kings who built our nation.

As in previous years, the Vietnamese Association in Japan (VAJ) is planning to hold the Hung Kings Memorial Ceremony, with the details below.

VAJ would like to respectfully invite you to set aside a little of your precious time to join us, so that together we may remember our ancestors and pay tribute to the founding kings and forebears whose dedication built and preserved the beautiful land of Vietnam to this day.

This is also an opportunity for the Vietnamese community in Japan to set aside any differences, to return together to our roots, to strengthen our bonds of solidarity, and to renew our commitment to defending our homeland and bringing honor to the Vietnamese people.

Tokyo, 15 March 2022

With warm regards,

President, NPO Vietnamese Association in Japan

NGUYEN PHUONG KHANH
