Announcement: JLPT N3 Winter 2021 Prep Class

Dear compatriots,

Dear young friends,

For many years now, building a sustainable community has been one of the top goals of the Vietnamese Association in Japan. To achieve this, we work not only to preserve and promote Vietnamese culture, but also to help our community adapt to local customs and reduce the psychological friction caused by cultural differences between our two countries — so that we can integrate into Japanese society more quickly. A solid understanding of Japan also helps us better appreciate our own culture, and on that foundation we can highlight and embody the best of Vietnamese values. How well we understand and perceive Japan depends largely on our command of the Japanese language.

That’s why no one disputes that learning Japanese — both before and right after arriving — is genuinely urgent, whether for work, daily communication, or in-depth research. Through outreach and surveys, the Association has found that many of our compatriots, especially young people newly arrived in Japan, want the chance to improve their Japanese, sit official proficiency exams, and gain certifications that boost their career prospects and confidence in interacting with Japanese people.

To support these aspirations, in this first phase the Association will run an online prep class for the JLPT N3 level, with the following details.

JLPT N3 PREP CLASS — WINTER 2021

The class is completely free. Experienced senpai who have prepped and sat the exam themselves will lead the class directly, with the goal of helping students pass the JLPT N3 on December 5.

Content: review of test-taking skills (Listening, Reading, Vocabulary and Kanji)

Approach:

– Sharing tips and patterns from the most recent test sittings

– Identifying question types that appear most frequently

– Q&A tailored to each student’s specific needs

– Outside class hours, additional support via Telegram chat for any questions that come up

Time: 21:00–22:00 on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings, from October 18 to November 26, 2021. 18 sessions total.

N3 is not the final destination — but it can be an important marker on the path of integration and growth. The teaching team eagerly welcomes everyone interested, in Japan or abroad, to join us.
