Announcement: Seminar on Work Visa Consultation
Vietnamese workers have become one of the top foreign-worker groups in Japan, spread across the full spectrum — from purely manual roles like technical interns, to university-educated knowledge workers on the Engineer / Specialist in Humanities / International Services visa (kĩ thuật viên – nghiệp vụ nhân văn quốc tế), and on up to IT specialists, university lecturers, and beyond.
Among those eligible to change jobs today, the majority hold either Specified Skilled Worker (tokutei gino) or Engineer / Specialist in Humanities / International Services visas. There are two main paths to these visas: coming directly from Vietnam, or going on to the “shu” path — entering work after completing a Japanese-language program and graduating from a vocational college or university in Japan.
That said, the procedures for obtaining a visa or changing jobs are far from easy. Many people get rejected by Immigration for trivial reasons — often because they were under-prepared or lacked the right information. To help anyone planning to apply for or renew a work visa, change jobs, or get married, the NPO Vietnamese Association in Japan – Kansai Chapter is hosting a discussion and consultation seminar.
Date & time: Sunday, March 12, 13:00–15:00
Venue: Hall at the Tamatsukuri Catholic Cathedral
