VAWORK Launches a New Way to Consult, and a Trip to Shiga – Himeji

On December 24, 2025, the Association reopened the VAWORK consultation portal with a new approach. You send your question via Messenger on the VAWork page or at vawork.hiephoi.jp, and AI drafts a reply in Vietnamese. A consultant then reviews it, revises it if needed, and only then sends it to you.

This project was selected for the 6th round of the 「外国にルーツがある人々への支援活動応援助成」 grant from the Central Community Chest of Japan (中央共同募金会), part of the 「社会課題テーマ」 program of the Akaihane Welfare Fund (赤い羽根福祉基金), for the period from October 2025 to September 2026. The program is funded by the Mitsubishi Foundation (三菱財団) and by donations from many people across Japan. The Association would like to express its sincere thanks.

As soon as it reopened, we set off. From December 27 to 30, the project team drove from Tokyo down to Shiga and then Himeji to meet fellow workers. Everyone shared stories about their work, asked about the things they were struggling with, and tried out VAWORK right there on their phones. In Himeji, the introduction session was also connected via Google Meet so that friends farther away could listen in together.
