Mid-Autumn Festival 2025 — Coming Together in Nagoya

This Mid-Autumn Festival, the Vietnamese Association in Japan (VAJ) hosted a warm and joyful celebration for children and families across the Tokai region.

🦁 Lion Dance

The program opened with a lively lion dance accompanied by booming drums — to the children’s delight, while parents revisited cherished memories of Mid-Autumn Festivals past.

🎮 Traditional Games

Next came a round of traditional Vietnamese games, including ball-passing and tug-of-war. Cheers and laughter filled the venue as children and parents alike came together in a spirit of teamwork, sharing, and simple joy.

🏮 Lantern Making

The children then eagerly set to work crafting brightly colored lanterns, attending carefully to every small detail. Their absorbed gazes and beaming smiles brought a wonderfully warm and happy atmosphere to the room.

To close the program, the children paraded around the venue with their lanterns, the gentle glow mingling with cheerful voices — a moment that families and the wider community will not soon forget.
